After the crap that was the Demo Man fiasco (still havent gotten my sub figures) Matty sent me an email saying the 30th figure is delayed then I just read this January is going to be killer on the wallet with 60 bucks for the Star Sisters BUT look at Febuary!! Ouch
it looks like our carefully planned release schedule has hit some turbulence.
When we lay out the line each year, we very consciously try to plan it so there are not too many items in one month to help spread out the purchase price over the year. When it comes to shipping items according to plan, MOTUC has had relatively clear skies for a few years. Unfortunately, logistical issues we could not avoid (yes, I know how you feel about that word!) have knocked our schedule around. We will still ship all of the figures we announced, they just may not be in the same month as originally intended.
We've looked at the full year and it looks like we will be back on track with figures starting in July. But between now and then, here is the revised shipping schedule for MOTUC and the 30th Anniversary Series:
January
Star Sisters™ - Club Eternia® multipack
February
Sorceress® - Club Eternia® figure
Fisto™ – Club Eternia® figure
Fearless Photog™ - MOTU 30th Anniversary Series figure
Shadow Weaver & Preternia™ Map – shipping automatically to sub holders, not for sale*
March
Kobra Kahn™ - Club Eternia® Figure
April
Thunder Punch™ He-Man® - Club Eternia® variant with mini-comic issue 1!
Draego-Man™ - MOTU 30th Anniversary Series figure
May
Stinkor® - Club Eternia® figure
Slush Head™ - Club Eternia® figure
Snake Mountain™ Stands – non-subscription item
June
Horde Prime - Club Eternia® figure
Snake Man-at-Arms® - Club Eternia® variant figure with mini-comic issue 2!
the Mighty Spector™ - MOTU 30th Anniversary Series figure
July
Griffin - Club Eternia® beast
Monthly Club Eternia® Figure – to be revealed at NYTF!
MOTU 30th Anniversary Series Figure – to be revealed at NYTF!
Why a complete revamp of the schedule? We didn't want to get into another situation like with Demo-Man™ and sell a figure before the full quotas arrived. While a few figures are shipping in different months then originally intended, this new release schedule should ensure there are fewer shipping delays like we had in December.
Please keep in mind this new schedule is subject to change, just like the first one. MOTUC products are handmade and hand-painted overseas, so schedule changes are bound to happen. But don't worry, because at the end of the year, you’ll ideally have all the figures we promised for 2012.
We do appreciate your patience and understanding. Our goal is to deliver the best figures and the best buying experience. Improvements will continue to be made and we will do our best to update everyone if any further changes are needed. There are a ton more surprises in store for the MOTU 30th Anniversary, with a reveal of two of the most fan-demanded figures ever at New York Toy Fair on February 12th! I can't wait for our big collector night!

*We are open to moving the Club Eternia® exclusive Shadow Weaver figure to March to help international customers with shipping. Please let us know if this is preferred!
Personally I'm in the "Serves you right for continuing to give them your money" camp.
Yeah but who is really doing toys right any more? And I'm talking toys for the masses. Stuff you can find at retail for a semi reasonable price. It's tough when your favorite property is held by a company full of chimps.
Matty has me by the short hairs because I love DC product. Fortunately, DC may have broken their hold on me by crapping up their product and pushing the crap over decades of quality comics now. It was a good run but thankfully now that their toys are going to be $20 and up, it will be a rare day when I want one again.
I would seriously like to have someone from Matty pull back the curtain and show us their business plan so that we have an explanation for why they do what they do. It might not make things better but at least we'd understand.
And it's good to have you back as a regular Greg.
Yeah Im starting to regret ever signing up. Glad I didnt do the DC sub. Its a mess
ridiculous.
i'm especially fond of this line: "we very consciously try to plan it so there are not too many items in one month to help spread out the purchase price over the year."
meanwhile, february has 4 figures and march has 1. it's a nitpick, sure. but it's a nitpick that only exists because matty pointed it out.
I haven't got my December MOTUC stuff yet either. Not a good way to start my year, since I'm a first time subscriber to this and the DC sub. Getting off on a bad foot, we are.
Also remember that February only has 28 days.
Now, don't get me wrong...a lot of things Matty does irritates me.
But I can't wrap my head around this one. You're going to get your figures. It might not be ren you hoped. And personally, I budget myself. Especially when under subscription. So, if I was due to have 28.70 taken out in January for a figure, and it's NOT coming out......then I move that 28.70 to next month.
Know what I mean?
Yeah I see your point Blanka, im not mad about the said delay Im more upset that I havent recieved my December figures and now Im going to take a big hit next month on my card after already getting hit this month for the Star Sisters. 4 figures in one month is pretty high. Especially when this is changed the week before it ships. Planning my funds around this schedule is going to be tricky if this keeps happening. Nothing like this happened last year.
I can dig it. By the way, in my previous post, I meant to type "right when" and.."ren" came out. lol..don't know how that happened. And with nary a Stimpy to be seen.
I'm guessing Toyguru is moving Leap Day to March too.
So apparently the Star Sisters have shipped and still NOTHING on Demo Man and Evil Lyn....WTF Matty!?
When Matty sent for the 2nd payment of Star Sisters, they also sent the message that my Demo-Man is shipping...Thanks, like they couldn't save me on shipping and put them in the same box.
Matty does NOT like to save their customers on shipping, which is a shame, because if they would do a Pile of Loot option like BBTS does, I'd be able to buy more of their product.
My buddy sent me a picture of the Demo Man he received late last week some time. So they are arriving now.
feb has 29, it's leap year
